Lip embroidery is great for people with dark lips or pale lips or one that’s doesn’t like the hassle of reapplying lipstick again and again throughout the day.

Who should go for lip embroidery?

  1. Too dark/Too pale
  2. Asymmetrical
  3. Unbalanced
  4. Tired of touching up lips after meals
  5. Smokers with black lips

These are the common types of people who should definitely opt for lip embroidery.  Lip embroidery is great for anyone who wants to enhance and balance their lip color, to appear rosy, smooth, soft and supple to touch and most of all Sensitive & Kissable!

Here are 5 things you might want to know about lips embroidery:

1. Lips embroidery is much safer than lipsticks!

Lipsticks are actually bad for your lips AND your health. The pigments in lipsticks increase the lead level of your lips which can cause serious health implications such as a higher risk of CANCER. Lips embroidery is a healthier option as it is done using biocompatible chemicals, which means it is not harmful nor toxic to the human tissues.

2. Hygienic and safe

Did you know that viruses can survive weeks on lipsticks because of the waxes and proteins in them? Lip embroidery is done with the help of a machine and a needle at the end. Each needle is single-used and sterilized for every customer so each appointment is hygienic and safe.

3. Lasts 1 to 2 years

In just 2-3 hours, you can have evenly colured lips that lasts 1-2 years. I bet lipsticks don’t even lasts 2-3 hours without fading. Imagine the amount of lipsticks, time and the money in your purse you can save.

4. No pain at all

A numbing cream will be applied to the entire lips before the process. So there is absolutely no pain at all! Just sit back and relax, let the professionals work their magic and wake up with beautiful lips.

5. Lips will appear darker than expected in the beginning

Do not freak out by the initial darker than expected colour and the extremely dry lips that you will get right after the embroidery. The actual colour will reveal itself after the dead skin flakes off from the lips, giving you tender, natural, soft pink lips in just a few days! Try not to pluck the dead skin off, allow it to gently fall off by itself. Meanwhile, try to apply moisturizing lip balm to hasten the process.

1. Do not pucker and stretch your lips. These actions push and pull against the lip edges, applying tension and friction between the strong normal skin surrounding the mouth and the broken lip edges.

2. Do not apply make up or facial cleanser on pigmented areas.

3. Avoid rubbing and scrubbing your face. Use patting motions instead to reduce friction on the broken skin.

4. Avoid long showers as the moisture and warmth retained in the inflamed tissues can lead to infection.

5. Refrain from sleeping face down on the pillow.

6. Do not pick or peel the crust. Let it heal on its own.

7. When brushing your teeth, make sure the toothpaste doesn’t touch the pigmented areas.

8. Drink from a straw and eat food that can be put in the mouth without touching the lips.

9. Avoid long exposure under the sun.

10. Avoid eating crabs or prawns, spicy and salty foods as it may aggravate the inflammation.

It takes about 1-2 weeks for the lips to fully recover and about 2 months for the best color to surface. Do not panic if the embroidered area oozes and scabs a little, it is normal during healing process. Once the lips are completely healed, you are free to apply lipstick or lip balm to enhance the color of the lips. Give yourself some time and you will get the natural lip colors you’ve always wanted.
